13/11/2008:Tiong: BNBBC not to attend Parliamentary Caucus on the Integrity and Independent of Judiciary invited by Opposition through Press Release

The Chairman of BNBBC Dato'  Seri Tiong King Sing extended his utmost appreciation to the opposition leader Dato'  Seri Anwar Ibrahim for inviting a member from the Club through his Press Release to participate in Parliamentary Caucus on the Integrity and Independent of Judiciary. (Pertubuhan Kaukus Integriti Kehakiman).

However, Tiong stressed it was all out to PAKATAN to appoint its members and nothing relevant to the BNBBC, adding that he only learn through a Press Release.

"We have not been informed by the House so far,” he said.

Referring to the Press Release by the secretariat of Opposition Leader, the committee was agreed to be set-up following aa meeting that was held and chaired by Dato Seri Anwar.

President of DAP Karpal Singh (Bukit Gelugor) was appointed unanimously as the Chairman, however, out of a total of nine (9) of its members, only a seat was allocated to Barisan Nasional (BN).

Tiong said PKR has been claiming all these while only they are  practicing elements of fair, justice and transparent in its alliance’s policy.

“Is this sound accordingly to what they’ve been claiming so far”

“I sincerely wish that our nations can read this message carefully as it has shown to us what is the standard of PAKATAN, speaking and acting differently all these while”

“How would it be if they are in power?

He personally felt that BN is fairer in such matter at least allow more different voices to be heard instead of allocation of committee seat with 8:1 ratio.

Lastly, Tiong thanked Dato’ Seri Anwar again for the invitation but stressed that none of BNBBC members will participate in it.
