| BINTULU: A total of RM502300 worth
medical equipments and instruments were handing over to the Bintulu Hospital
respectively by Bintulu Member of Parliament Dato’ Seri Tiong King Sing
JP recently and today.
The director of the hospital Dr.Mohamad
Hisham said, they are seven specialists at Bintulu Hopsital now to provide
services of obstetrics & gynecology, anesthetics, surgery, ophthalmology,
pediatric, and orthopedic to the patients here.
Formerly, he said due to the shortage of
the craniotomy instrument, patients that sustained head injuries or diseases
had to be referred to Miri Hospital for further medication.
Nevertheless, with the newly contributed
surgical and other instruments, he believed the services of hospital would
be further up-graded by the people caring MP.
There were a total of 8 medical instrument
items were handing over to the hospital here on July 19, 2005 and yesterday,
such as operating zoom microscope, sterile driver, high speed drill system
for craniotomy, respiratory drying cabinet, light source turret, hysteroscopy
and ultrasound transducer.
Among those present at the handing over
ceremony yesterday were chairman of the Hospital's Visitor Board, Pau Chiong
Ung with members, the political secretary to Bintulu MP, En. Zaiedy Nor
bin Abu Nasir, Liew Ah Lek member of supreme council SPDP and Chairman
for N52 Kemena, Rayong Anak Bayak, Chairman of SPDP N54 Jepak and Li Ah
Ling, Chinese Affairs Chief to the MP. |
