BINTULU - A seven doors longhouse (Rh. Uchong) was razed to the ground early this morning at 9:00 and making more than 40 residents homeless.

According to the residents, the fire believed to have caused by mosquito coil where the fast spreading fire engulfed their home within half an hours time.

Following the incident, people service team of Member of Parliament for P216 Bintulu, leading by Liew Ah Lek, the division chairman of N52 Kemena had rushed to the scene to assist the fire victims.

A total of RM10,000 was contributed by Tiong to the fire victims whereby the SPDP members here also donated RM1700 to the longhouse folks.

Also present were Jacky Chan Jet Hui (divisional secretary of N53 Kidurong) and chairman of N54 Jepak Rayong anak Bayak.
